  Excellent well-trained officers - I think the negative reviews are probably a hatchet job on disgruntle individuals. I have lived in Ridgeland for over 15 years and have never had a negative experience. After a robbery at my mothers home in Jackson, the goods were discovered in Ridgeland. The police arrested the person, retrieved the goods and the person was prosecuted before I even got a call from a detective in Jackson about the original theft report. They are polite, stay in physical shape as opposed to pot belly cops in Jackson and the department has the Mississippi Accredited Law Enforcement certificate. This accomplishment is not an easy feat as it requires all officers to go continue training in skills beyond the basic law enforcement requirements. Show respect to them and they will show respect to you, disrespect them and they will still try to be polite unless you force them not to be.

  As a well experienced CIA agent, I've been assigned to black operations in some of the most dangerous parts of the globe, including Jacksonville, Ottowa, and even Duluth! However, these hellholes pale in comparison to the war-torn metropolis known as Ridgeland. While I was out conducting a classified operation near my temporary headquarters, I noticed movement in the bushes beside me, and I realized that I was being preyed upon by a Taliban cat (we call them Tabby Cats as nicknames). I immediately jumped into the trench beside the road, and began to plan my next course of action. That's when I noticed that this one feline militant was not alone... There was a squirrel in the tree above me, and a crow (it was black, just like the ISIS flag!) nibbling at something on the ground to my right. IT WAS AN ENTIRE TALIBAN RECON TEAM. Being outnumbered and armed with only mosquito wipes, I HAD to have backup, so I unsheathed my Apple Communications Device, and radioed-in, on channel 911, the elite Ridgeland PD. After half a minute of intense combat, my reinforcements arrived. The mere sight of these magnificent warriors was enough to send the terrorists running for the bushes. The battle was won. Of course, as protocol states, the operators had to apprehend me. I was in civilian attire, and being fat and hairy, I can easily be mistaken for a black (black as in ISIS flag black) bear. Unfortunately, instead of being awarded a medal for my heroics in combat, I was court-martialed by the agency for something about "misuse of emergency services" (whatever that means).
